Parish Priest:

Job Vacancy

The Catholic Parish of Crowthorne and Sandhurst is seeking to recruit a new Parish Secretary to commence work on 4 January 2021. This is for 9 hours per week (9.30am-12.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), although this may increase, by mutual consent, as we move out of the pandemic. The post is based at the Parish Office in Sandhurst. The salary offered is £10.00 per hour. Application forms and Job description are available from the Parish Office on 01252 876820 or crowsand@portsmouthdiocese.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 7 December 2020.

We will resume our usual schedule of Masses from Wednesday 2nd December.

It is not necessary to book a place to attend the weekday Masses but you will need to do so by contacting the Parish Office if you wish to attend the 6.00pm Vigil Mass on Saturdays or either of the Sunday morning Masses.

Our Christmas Masses will be:

Christmas Eve

5.00pm in Sandhurst (NB. One hour earlier than last year)

10.00pm in Crowthorne

Christmas Day

9.00am in Sandhurst

11.00am in Crowthorne

If you wish to attend any of the Christmas Masses it is essential that you book a pew beforehand. This is done on the basis of one pew per household, regardless of whether the household consists of 1 person or more (up to 6 people). We will begin taking bookings for Christmas from Monday 30th November. Please do not attend if you have not already booked a place because we cannot ensure the keeping of social distancing requirements if people are standing at the back of the church.

The Catholic Church celebrates Christmas with an Octave, which means that it is celebrated for 8 days with each day being like Christmas Day itself. This means that even if you cannot attend Mass on 24h/25th December, by attending on any of the following days up to, and including, 1st January, that will be your Christmas Mass.
